From the Milky Way above Lake Louise to the majestic Rocky Mountain views we all know and love, Eric Frigon has captured it all. We were truly blown away by the photos he recently shared with us and think you will be as well.

The Stampede is coming to California! On March 2nd, Travel Alberta will be down at the Honda Center to help celebrate 100 years of the greatest outdoor show on earth. Together we will dance, dine, ride, dress and create just like the real Calgary Stampede.

Join us at 5pm in lot 3 at the Honda Center for a line dance, ride the mechanical bull, get a photo in an iconic western setting or enjoy a beer before the game! Did we mention you could also win your way to the centennial event this summer?

This great family event will go until 7pm, right before puck drop between the Ducks and Flames. If you are one of the first 50 people to arrive, you will receive a free authentic Calgary cowboy hat! If you attend Stampede Day, be sure to send us your photos.

The Canadian Dream

Following an afternoon hike back in the summer, local Banff photographer Callum Snape, captured his own (remember to breathe) moment. Greeting him on his way home was a pack of three grizzly bears - a somewhat natural encounter for this wildlife photographer. This photo was shot along the shores of Lake Louise with the chateau and local skiing areas in the background.
