Roots Fall 2012 | Exploring Alberta

The most recent campaign takes place in the Canadian Badlands. Even the name fuels your imagination and appetite for adventure. The Canadian Badlands, in southeastern Alberta has yielded some of the world’s richest deposits of prehistoric fossils and dinosaur finds. You can almost feel the ground rumbling with the footsteps of the mighty beasts that roamed Dinosaur Provincial Park millions of years ago. Today this place is world famous for its dinosaur fossil finds. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park contains one of the richest bonebeds in the world.

This year, Alberta is proud to welcome the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship! We are thrilled to host the best junior hockey players in the world in our beautiful province. Between December 26 and January 5, Alberta will be hosting 10 nations for a total of 31 games. Outside of the arena, be sure to join in on the excitement and energy that will infuse the streets of both Edmonton and Calgary, you won’t want to miss this!
