We want to thank you all for your tremendous support of these videos and allowing us to share our love of Alberta with you all.
The Stampede is coming to California! On March 2nd, Travel Alberta will be down at the Honda Center to help celebrate 100 years of the greatest outdoor show on earth. Together we will dance, dine, ride, dress and create just like the real Calgary Stampede.
Join us at 5pm in lot 3 at the Honda Center for a line dance, ride the mechanical bull, get a photo in an iconic western setting or enjoy a beer before the game! Did we mention you could also win your way to the centennial event this summer?
This great family event will go until 7pm, right before puck drop between the Ducks and Flames. If you are one of the first 50 people to arrive, you will receive a free authentic Calgary cowboy hat! If you attend Stampede Day, be sure to send us your photos.
It is a tradition that begins very early in the morning, but every year Elizabeth wakes her son to join her in a pre-Christmas adventure from Calgary to Banff. They begin their day by heading up the Sulphur Mountain gondola, then it’s off to the Banff Springs Hotel followed by lunch at St. James Gate pub; a burger for her and Dubliner Mac ‘n’ Cheese for her son. This past December, Elizabeth made sure to take a moment to photograph their day together, it just so happens that she also captured this (remember to breathe) moment after sunrise at Vermillion Lakes.
We are loving how the Kensington Riverside Inn paired true winter ambiance with a dash of traditional Christmas spirit. As it turns out, we weren’t the only ones. Recently named one of Canada’s most festive hotels by MSN Travel, this trendy hotel located in Calgary’s Kensington neighbourhood is a must visit if you are in the area!
What are some of your favourite ways to get in the holiday spirit?
We have all heard tips on how to stay warm in winter, but we bet you’ve never heard them quite like this before. The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra took tweets sent in by local Calgarians and put them to song! We, along with CNN Sit Room, Gizmodo and many others, are quite impressed.
Shot on location throughout Alberta. This spot features some of the breathtaking landscapes and authentic experiences from across the province. (remember to breathe)
